Match report

A lovely warm sunny day saw us travel to Harlow to play Essex at Canons Brook G.C. The team were in good spirits as we teed off, but this wasn't to last long as we were quickly down pretty much all through the team. Although the course was a nice layout and in good condition, the greens were incredibly slow (around 5 or 6 on the stimp) and I think we suffered more than Essex. Its not possible to get over and play a practice round due to work commitments, but as the home team, Essex had and it paid dividends.

The two highlights of the day were Phil White's excellent 3&2 win and Andy Brown's hard fought half. Andy had a 6 footer on the last for the win but it just slid past the hole. Although we are disappointed with the result, again everyone fought hard but the opposition were just better on the day.
