Ladies 2nd Team East Region Finals

The Inter county 2nd Team Jamboree finals took place at Frinton Golf Club in Essex today Friday 26th August.  As well as the excellent golf been played, we were also entertained by a spectacular display by the Royal Air Force Aerobatic team on a gorgeous day by the sea.  Bedfordshire were going into the finals, 6-3 down to Norfolk and 8-1 down to Essex, they had a slight lead 5-4 up to Cambs & Hunt.  Bedfordshire started well and the matches against Norfolk and Cambs and Hunt were very close through 9.   Dawn secured an easy win against her opponent and Laura Collin fought back from 3 down to get a half on the 18th, a win also on the 18th by Vicki to secure a win for Beds against Cambs & Hunt 7 1/2 to 4 1/2.  Norfolk ladies turned up the heat in the final few holes eventually beating Marie, Sue and Chris.  Shirley Darrah had a super match against her Essex opponent and eventually securing her win on the 18th, Catherine and Clare lost their matches but enjoyed the day.  Well played to all the girls.  Congratulations to Laura Collin who was presented with her second team colours by Dawn to add to her first team colours.  Laura also won the prize of most birdies 4 to Dawns 2.
