Tavistock win for Beadlow

Six juniors from Beadlow Manor beat teams from Aspley Guise & Woburn Sands, Bedford & County and, South Beds to win the 2016 edition of the Tavistock Trophy on Friday 26th August.

The Final, held at Beadlow Manor, was played over 18 holes of strokeplay. The best two gross scores from each team along with the two best nett scores (from the other four) make up the team score. Given the quality of the teams and the excellent weather conditions, a good score was expected and we were not disappointed. The team from Beadlow returned an excellent score of 288 strokes beating Bedford & County into second place by only four strokes.

As usual, the match was played in excellent spirit and everyone had a good time.

Thanks go to Mike Smith who was the referee on the day, to the four Junior Organisers who ensured that their teams delivered a final of quality and to Beadlow Manor for hosting the event.
