Ladies Wee Wonders Junior Grand Final 2016

The Wee Wonders Grand Final took place at St Andrews the 'Home of Golf' on 27 and 28 August.  This tournament has rapidly grown to become a national coverage for children in the age range 5 to 12.  Roisin Scanlon from the Bedfordshire GC took part and after 2 rounds, Roisin was lying in 6th place but in the final round moved up to 4th just missing 3rd place by 1 shot and 2nd by 2 shots.  Overall she played really well, her dad Anthony said "she found club selection a bit tricky especially when the wind changed direction from the practice round to the competition.  Overall a positive experience that Roisin will take away and you just know that this kid will be working hard on game during the next couple of weeks ready for the next tournament.  Roisin is now playing of a handicap of 24 and has been selected to be part of the team in the East Region Trophy at Bawburgh GC in Norfolk on Sunday 18th September.  The other team members are Georgia Staroscik, Imogen King, Caitlin Thomas, Jen Tocha and Rachel George.  Best of luck girls.
