Girls Golf Rocks

Girls Golf Rock’ is about to get rocking in Bedfordshire. Twelve of our County junior squad took part in training by Jason Sorrel from England Golf on Sunday 5th February, as leaders & mentors to promote the sport with the help of four local golf clubs. Their message will be that golf is fun & sociable game with a competitive edge and we want other girls to join in.  The photo shoot was full of fun and camaraderie.

The Girls Golf Rocks campaign tees off with a big taster session at the following venues dates and times:

1. Leighton Buzzard:       22/04/17 3PM-5PM

2. Beadlow Manor:           22/04/17 3PM-5PM

3. The Bedford:               22/04/17 12PM-2PM

 4. Tilsworth:                  23/04/17 2PM- 4PM

This will be followed by a five week structured coaching program by PGA professionals, fitted with a free seven iron and a county girl mentoring the newcomers. After the coaching sessions, there will a finale fun par three competition when new young players can enjoy playing with their mentors

The five Weeks coaching course will start on the following dates.

1. Leighton Buzzard:            29/04/17 2PM-4PM

2. Beadlow Manor:                30/04/17 2PM-3PM

3. The Bedford:                    30/04/17 1PM-2PM

4. Tilsworth:                         30/04/17 2PM- 3PM

The project is being led by the Beds Golf Development Group, B.L.C.G.A. & supported by England Golf. Please spread the word to your family & friends, schools or other sporting events you know of young girls who would be interested in trying a new sport. An opportunity to make amazing friends and rewards from practice is great as you see yourself improving all the time. More details and posters will be sent out in the near future.
