Our final league match of the year took place against Middlesex at Mill Hill Golf Club. Unfortunately the greens had been heavily cored and were a bit tricky to play on. However, they were the same for both teams so some coped better than others with the conditions. Middlesex had a strong team out which is reflected in the scores shown on the result sheet. Not all of our lower handicappers were available for the match so in essence we did not field our strongest team. We really need to have more lower handicap players available for matches if we are to perform better. That said, I know everybody did their best yet again, but against strong opposition we could not manage a better result and finished the day losing by 7 points to 3.

I won’t go into individual results but would like to thank all our players for their efforts and hope that next year we can field stronger teams than we can at the moment so that we can become more of a threat to the other teams in the league.
