On a bright sunny day we hosted yet another strong seniors team in Hertfordshire, at Leighton Buzzard. Our final league match of 2015 started very well, with Pete Dobson and John Haines giving us a 2 – 1 lead early on! Sadly we couldn't maintain their excellent start and went down 8 – 2. On a positive note, 3 of the matches went to 17th and with a bit of luck, the result could have been much closer. The course was in excellent condition and I'd like to thank Leighton Buzzard for hosting the match for us. Man of the match was undoubtedly John Haines, who beat England international Ty Carter, fantastic result!!
Finally, although we have an unexpected extension to our season – the final of the South of England Group foursomes at Eaton G.C. in Norwich, I'd like to thank all the players who have appeared during the season and given their best in all our matches. Nobody has a better team spirit than Bedfordshire, and it's an honour to Captain them.
