On Wednesday 26th May the Seniors travelled to South Hert’s Golf Club to play Hertfordshire in our 2nd league match of the season. Another course that had definitely had more rain than it needed in recent days but despite this was presented in exceptional condition and was a credit to the greens team and I did make this known to their Course Manager. Another difficult day against a very strong and committed Hertfordshire side resulting in a tough few hours for both our new squad Members and some of the old hands, however some decent performances were recorded including a fighting Half from Simon Hollands which was almost a bit better than that, a very good early win from Trap 2 by Motty and I managed to nick a 1 up win with a cheeky birdie at the last. We now have a bit of a break until June 11th when along with my Birthday I hope we will also be celebrating a home win against Middlesex.

    Seniors Captain.
