The 2nd match was spread over 2 days with heavy rain causing suspension of play on the Friday afternoon after most matches had played around 9 holes. Chanel lead the charge with a dominant 5 and 3 win over the Suffolk Captain. The other two singles matches played by Annabel and Georgia were met by very strong opposition and on the day they were just too strong. Caitlin and Luca carried on their unbeaten run from the last County Match Week at Aspley Guise and so it came down to the last match with the untried pairing of Laura and Sue. A very tight match culminated in them coming down the last, a par 3, 1 up against the experienced Lils from Suffolk and her partner. Laura summoned all her experience to hit the green and then calmly rolled in a short putt for the par and the half. Well done team and the first win for Captain Claire.
