Another win for Beadlow

Beadlow Manor and John O'Gaunt were the only two Bedfordshire clubs in the 2016 edition of the Ver Junior League which is run by the Hertfordshire Golf Union. Interestingly, despite the title, the competition is actually a knockout rather than a league.

Sadly both Bedfordshire clubs lost in the first round but this qualified them for entry into the Ver Plate competition. Beadlow beat Redbourn GC and Harpenden Common GC to reach the final whilst John O'Gaunt beat Brookmans Park GC and Whipsnade Park GC on their route to the final.

The final was played over two legs, at Beadlow Manor on 15th October and John O'Gaunt on 29th October with Beadlow running out winners.

Congratulations to the team from Beadlow Manor on another victory in 2016 and thanks to both teams for having flown the Bedfordshire flag.
