Stuart Goode Memorial Trophy

The Stuart Goode Memorial Trophy was played for at The Millbrook Golf Club on Saturday 31st March 2018.

This is the second year that teams of 12 players from the County First Team, the County Seniors and, the County U18s got together to play triangular foursomes as the season opening event. Despite the bravado from all sides and the continual banter, this friendly match also has a serious side. It was the first match this season for all three teams. There were a few new faces in both the First Team and the Seniors whilst the U18s fielded 8 rookies at this level so all three teams made good use of the opportunity to introduce new talent. The Seniors also managed to introduce players who aren't old enough to get into a Senior team which might explain how they managed to score marginally better than the Juniors on the day. The County First Team put in an excellent performance to win by a clear margin.

Well done to Mr Weedon's lads and many thanks to The Millbrook GC for allowing us to use their golf course which was in excellent condition for the time of year.

Here's to a successful season for all Bedfordshire teams.
