Sad news

Claire Arbuckle. 

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Claire Arbuckle nee Hoskin on the 22nd December 2020.   Claire was BLCGA County Champion in 1996 and 2000.  She represented the County First Team many times before having her two boys and recently made a very welcome return to County golf.  Claire’s sense of humour helped create a really good camaraderie within any team she was a member of and her consistently good standard of golf gained many points in her early career.  On Claire’s return to County golf she quietly supported  County Captain Helen Taylor, particularly at County Match Week 2019  at Aspley Guise and Woburn Sands Golf Club and as recently as this autumn was looking to the future with Vice Captain Claire Cummings. She has been a member of both Bedford and County and Millbrook and will be hugely missed by her many golfing friends throughout the county. We send our most sincere condolences to her family, especially the two boys she lived for, James and Cameron.
