Our 2^nd league match of the season took us to Fulwell G.C. Middlesex. The team was on a high after our recent success against Essex and on a bright, sunny day we were looking for another win. Our expectations were quickly dashed by a team who had all played the course the previous week and contained 3 Fulwell members.

The course was in spectacular condition and we only have ourselves to blame. I know everyone gave of their best but today just wasn't our day. The greens were running at around 12 on the stimp but were running very true. The opposition were not that much better than us handicap wise, but as can be seen from the result, they played us off the course!

Congratulations to Rob Westgate who saved us from a whitewash with an excellent 4&3 win.

We now have to pick ourselves up and prepare for our next league match away to BB&O.

A hard loss to take, but the team will go into the next match with a positive attitude, a great team spirit and a will to win. This can be seen in the messages we received from those not selected prior to the match. For which I thank them.
