The course was in fantastic condition and Bedfordshire Golf Club are to be congratulated for the condition of the course. Unfortunately for us, our team did not perform to their full ability overall and the match ended with a win by Essex by 7 ½ points to our 2 ½.
Unfortunately we could not get all the Bedfordshire Golf Club guys out to play and only Les Sharman and John Donnelly could take part. John got a valuable point and Les came in with a good half.
Things look tough now for us as we need to get a good win at Middlesex next week to avoid coming bottom of the league. However, I have every confidence in the team’s ability to rise to the huge task ahead of us.
