Ladies East Region Under 14 Team

The East Region under 14 trophy was played at The Bawbraugh Course in Norfolk on Sunday 18th September.  There were strong teams from Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Essex, Suffolk, Cambs & Hunt and of course from Bedfordshire.  The team that represented Bedfordshire were Georgia Staroscik, Imogen King, Caitlin Thomas, Roisin Scanlon, Jen Tocha, Rachel George.  The course was quite tricky and was one of those courses that you would play differently second time round.  However; for a while Bedfordshire were looking good for second place but the higher handicappers from Essex and Norfolk boosted their scores in the last couple of matches.  Hertfordshire were the winners on 154 points then followed by Norfolk on 143, Essex on 138, Bedfordshire on 135, Suffolk on 127 and finally Cambs & Hunt on 121.  

Roisin enjoyed her first County experience and after a front 9 of 13 points, she came back strongly on the second 9 shooting 20 points finishing on 33 points.  Georgia and Imogen were very strong and steady with Georgia scoring 36 points and Imogen on 35 and Caitlin on 31.  Rachel and Jen battled well and did not give in.
