Bedfordshire County Golf - Juniors

Bedfordshire County Golf are keen to promote the game to the next generation of golfers by encouraging youngsters to take up golf, and then helping them develop by organising competitions, events and matches, and coaching sessions.

We do this in a safe and fun environment, with the help and support of Golf Clubs, schools, professionals, coaches, county officials and volunteers, parents, family members and other fellow golfers of all ages. 


Bedfordshire County Golf provide opportunities for boys and girls of all age and abilities to play competitive golf at different golf courses through the county, and in the neighbouring counties. Events include:

Bedfordshire Winter Tour - Events between October and March.
Progress Junior Golf Tour - Nine-hole or short course events aimed at higher-handicappers and younger golfers.
Bedfordshire Junior Order of Merit - Handicap qualifying events, including some Junior Opens.
The Shires Junior Golf Tour - Handicap qualifying events in Bedfordshire and the other local counties.
Tavistock Team Trophy - League competition for juniors representing Golf Clubs in Bedfordshire.


Bedfordshire County Golf provide opportunities for the leading boys and girls at different age levels to receive County Coaching with the best coaches at the leading facilities during the season.


Bedfordshire County Golf work closely with Bedfordshire Schools to give more opportunities to help combine the sport with studies.

England Golf

Bedfordshire County Golf work closely with England Golf and The Golf Foundation to 
encourages children and young people to learn and play golf in a fun and friendly way.


Bedfordshire County Golf and all the Golf Clubs, team managers, coaches and officials within the county, place a clear and unequivocal emphasis on safeguarding with junior golfers.
