Bedfordshire Golf Captains

Captains welcome

Hello and welcome to all our current and past captains from all our Bedfordshire Golf Clubs.

It is an absolute honour and privilege to be your captain for the coming year. I follow in the prestigious footsteps of others that have lead the way for over 50 years, and it is, of course, a pleasure to accept this opportunity.

I am proud to be a founder member Chalgrave Manor Golf Club and then to become Club Captain in 2006 and then as Club Chairman for 7 years and thoroughly enjoyed my tenure in both roles. I’d like take this opportunity to extend my thanks to the management team, green staff, members and owner Steve Rumball for their continued support over the years both personally and as a club.

I know with your support and the support (and thanks) of our immediate past Captain Martyn Latch, our new President Syd Pniewski, our new Secretary Clive Bassendale, our new Treasurer David Hawkins, our relatively new team member David Price and my new Vice Captain Steve Whitney, we’ll have a successful and enjoyable year.

I relish the opportunity to meeting and playing with as many of you as possible over the next 12 months and further.

Thank you and good luck with your health and golf for the year ahead.
