Competition Entry Guide

Any member of a golf club affiliated to BCGU may enter a county competition.  Your home club must be a Bedfordshire Club.  The entry fees for the competition pays for the cost of food and prizes.  At most competitions we provide coffee and bacon rolls and a two course dinner in the evening. For 36 hole competitions a lunch of sandwiches and chips is also provided.  Prize details can be found on the individual posters.

Enter and pay online. When you enter and pay online you will use Paypal to pay your entry fee.  You can use a debit or credit card or a paypal account with our online payment system. To enter and pay online please read the following carefully.

Find the Competition you wish to enter by either clicking on its name under 'Upcoming Championships' on the Home page or from the 'Diary' tab on the menu ribbon. The upcoming Open Competitions will be listed showing the booking options. Click 'online sign up'.

Enter your Central Database of Handicap (CDH) number, also known as a lifetime ID number. This number should be provided to you by your home club and is your starting point to enter competitions online. If you cannot find your CDH number, please contact your Home Club who can provide it. The first time you use the site you will be asked to register and you will then receive an email with your PIN Number, which you should record and keep safely to login in future. Future logins will be via your email address and the PIN number.

Once registered you will be able to read the Competition Rules to check that you are eligible, and then enter by clicking 'CONTINUE' and confirming your contact details. At this stage you have entered but not paid.

You must then pay by clicking the Paypal button which will redirect you to their external site to complete your entry. You can use a credit or debit card with Paypal. You do not need to have a Paypal account to enter a competition online.

Your entry is not complete until you have paid your entry fee!

If for whatever reason you enter but then do not pay through Paypal, you will not show on the website as entered. It will be treated under the competition rules as though you had entered by email and payment must be made by cheque within 10 days to the Competition Secretary.

A Competition Entry form can be downloaded here, or obtained from your club Secretary/Manager. This should be completed and sent with your cheque to the Competition Secretary, David Corfan, 39, Broadacres, Luton, LU2 7YF. Telephone 07973 221996.

You are encouraged to read the general conditions of entry on the back of the downloadable entry form here in any event.

In particular please note that Jackets and ties are to be worn by all competitors for the evening dinner and presentations
