County Player Steph rolls back the years winning the Sue Patterson Salver with Holly Gordon

County Player Steph Scott from Aspley Guise GC turned the clocks back today at The Bedford Golf Club. 15 years after winning the inaugural Sue Patterson Salver as a junior she joined forces with young Holly Gordon from the Bedfordshire GC reliving her past glory with some help from Holly.

Sue Patterson introduced this annual event when she was junior County Organiser as a gentle introduction to County competitions and having a former junior and now County Squad player winning the competition with one of our current juniors is a testament to its success.

Runners up were Jess Sporle from John O’Gaunt & Pauline Hargreaves from the Mowsbury & in third place was Amelia Klausner from South Beds GC & Donna Steele from The Millbrook GC.

A big thank you to all the ladies who turned up to support this event, especially Steph, Katriona and Paulette ( County VC ) who took time out of their preparations for County week to join us.

It’s wonderful to see the so many talented juniors coming through ensuring the strong tradition of Women’s golf in Bedfordshire will continue long into the future.

Thank you to Christine Goode, our County Junior Organiser for organising the day. Thank you to Sue Patterson for her continuous support. Thank you also to The Bedford GC also for their support & hospitality.

See you all next year.
