Jamie & Phil win County Fourball

Jamie Stone (3) the current Club Champion from Leighton Buzzard GC was partnered by Phil Coumbe (4) playing almost flawless golf they pipped the early leaders, Past Captain Fred Mercer & current Vice Capt of AG&WS Garrie Brandon.

Jamie & Phil, pictured left amassed a magnificent 45 points beating Fred & Garrie by 2 points to take the trophy.

A big thankyou to all the team at Aspley Guise & Woburn Sands, the course was in magnificent condition and the record field of 104 players were unanimous in there praise for the catering team of Sam, Ollie & Ian.

Despite achieving a hole in one on the 4th for a bucket of points Dave Banwell was heard to comment that a hole in one team never win's. How right he was !!
