News article U14s get to SEG League Final

The final match of the U14 League with Middlesex and Norfolk took place at Dunstable Downs GC on 15th August.

The wind was present and made this a testing afternoon for our youngest group of golfers. The lads rose to the challenge!

After the first two rounds of matches Bedfordshire and Middlesex were tied for the lead so it was all to play for. The Bedfordshire boys were told to go out and enjoy themselves - and it was also recommended that they should win! Thankfully they all obeyed and we beat both Norfolk and Middlesex 8 - 0. To say that this was a fine performance would be to grossly understate the scale of their achievement. We must be immensely proud of the way that this group of young men has come together - they play together in the Junior Tour, they are coached together on the County Program and this year they've learned that as a Team they are able to produce excellent performances.

This year the U14 and U18 Teams have qualified for their respective league finals. Bedfordshire is making itself known!
