U14s do well in Norfolk

After their outstanding performance in the SEG League our U14 Team travelled to Eaton GC in Norwich on Friday 20th August to play in the 2021 Keith Bass Trophy.

This is a strokeplay event for teams of 8 players from Bedfordshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. The two best gross and two best nett (from the four other players) make up the team score. The course was in excellent condition and the weather was favourable for good scoring. The Essex players demonstrated their strength and posted an exceptionally good score on the day. Our young men showed their courage and worked hard to beat Norfolk to second place by just one stroke. Another fine performance from this solid team. Well done.

A special mention for Henry Wooster who shot 7 under his handicap.
