A good performance in the SEG U18 League Final

Teams of 8 players from Bedfordshire, BB&O and Hampshire travelled to Halesworth GC in Suffolk on 19th September to contest the SEG U18 League Final.

Everyone travelled long distance to the venue but that didn't prevent the players from displaying some fine golf during the triangular matchplay event which was played in excellent spirit as usual.

The day started badly for the Bedfordshire team due to a transport issue between the hotel and the golf club which meant that many of the players were unable to warm up properly but everyone remained calm and the team produced a creditable draw with Hampshire. BB&O proved too strong for our team and ran out 6-2 winners. Having also drawn with Hampshire, BB&O won the day and are the 2021 SEG U18 League Champions. Congratulations to the BB&O players and management team.

This was our third successive appearance in the U18 League Final and we produced a much better performance. The Bedfordshire team is pictured below:
