County Fun'd' Day raises funds for junior golf development

On a damp autumn day, golfers headed out to play a team stableford and raise funds for junior golf development.  With both a morning and afternoon shotgun, it was a busy day at Bedfordshire Golf Club.  We would like to thank Bedfordshire who gave courtesy of the course for the entire day.  Thanks also go to the clubs that donated 4-ball prize vouchers:  Aspley Guise & Woburn Sands, Beds & County, Chalgrave, Colmworth and North Beds, John O'Gaunt, Millbrook and Pavenham.  

This is the first time that this event has been mixed and teams of both men and women competed. It was fitting then that the winning teams were a men's team in the morning and a women's team in the afternoon.

Winners of the morning shotgun with 91 stableford points were John Wadham, David Cambers, Bob Smith and Philip Scott from Colmworth & North Beds.

In the afternoon shotgun, the winners with 83 stableford points were Jo Evans, Jacky Levinson, Fay Glynn and Adrienne Lane from Dunstable Downs.

Players were extremely generous with the raffle which raised £520.  Thank You to everyone for your generosity!
