Millbrook pair triumph

Paul Kitching and Mark Yeomans (The Millbrook GC) won the County Foursomes Championship yesterday (12th May 2013) at Bedfordshire Golf Club, Stagsden. They won by 4 shots with a 36 hole total of 150 from Nathan Dennis & Neil Sparrow (Bedford & County GC) and repeated their success of 2010. They are pictured below receiving the salvers and shield from County President, Clive Allen.

Players found the Bedfordshire course in great condition, but found the high wind and afternoon rain testing to say the least. The pace of play was refreshingly quick, however, which meant that the afternoon tee times were brought forward to try to reduce the impact of the weather front which was forecast to move in during the afternoon.

Our thanks to Bedfordshire Golf Club management and members for allowing us to use their course and for the way the course was presented and for their great hospitality all day.
