Successful occasion for Bedfordshire Schools

BEDFORDSHIRE SCHOOLS HANDICAP CHAMPIONSHIP

A first visit to the Luton Hoo golf complex proved to be a successful occasion for Bedfordshire Schools as Emma Brown (Bedford Girls / John O’Gaunt GC) took the Girls title, scoring 39 points.  In a well contested event, Imogen Morton-King (Sharnbrook Upper / Pavenham Park GC) 37 pts was 2nd  and Roisin Scanlon (Bedford Girls / Bedfordshire GC) making her first appearance in a County Schools Championship coming 3rd on countback with 35 pts.

Imogen Morton-King has also been selected for Bedfordshire Schools to play in the NASUWT SE Schools Regional Championship to be held at West Essex GC on the 2nd of June.  Chanel Fontaine-Geary will go forward to represent Bedfordshire in the NASUWT U/16 National Schools Championship at Walsall GC in July as County Schools Scratch Champion. 

3 girls will also be selected for the County Schools Handicap Team together with 6 boys to play in the George McPartlin Trophy against Hertfordshire, Essex and Middlesex Schools at Mill Green GC on Sunday 10th July.Team selections will be announced after the High Handicap Championship on the 15th June at Aylesbury Vale GC.
