Boys County Qualifying

The South East Group Boys County Qualifying was held at Royal Mid Surrey Golf Club on Thursday 7th June. In common with many golf fixtures this 'summer' the weather was awful, and huge credit has to go to the Officials and Greenstaff who battled the elements and managed - just - to keep the course playable despite flooding.

Our team from Bedfordshire finished a disappointing 10tth out of the 11 teams in this 6 man scratch team competition where 5 scores out of the 6 count. It has to be acknowledged, of course, that our team's handicaps were much higher than for example the winners Hampshire or the runners up Essex and it is clear that our players will benefit from the experience of competing against the best young players in the South East of the Country.
