Bedfordshire Seniors v Essex

At Bedfordshire GC 23rd August

This was a terrific match played at Bedfordshire GC which was in fantastic condition and the weather was absolutely perfect. 

The final result was Bedfordshire 3.5 Essex 6.5 but that only tells half of the story with 5 matches going down the 18th and only one was halved.

Colin Beard lost to Mark Stones 2/1

Mark Stokes lost to Ian Moore 2/1

Andy Brown beat Chris Bellamy 3/1

Dave Marshall beat Steve Rooney 5/3

Colin Moody Halved with Mike Partridge

Tony Weymouth lost to JohnWright 1 down

Dave Banwell beat Mark Whitten 1 up

Chris Smith lost to Jeff Mathewson 1 down

Peter Mott lost to Chris Aukett 3/1

Steve Kavanagh conceded his match to Rob Douglas 

Once again we have come very close to victory and we are only a little bit of luck away from winning our matches. This season we have played 6 matches winning two drawing two in the league, losing two (one in the league) The league matches against Herts, Middlesex and Essex could and quite possibly should have gone our way. We have our final match against BB&O at Calcot Park next Friday 30th August.
