This match was held at Letchworth golf club. Hertfordshire put out a very strong team indeed which included 2 England International players – which shows the kind of strength that we are sometimes up against. Although trying their hardest, our team were unable to offer much resistance to this powerful side and eventually went down by 8 matches to 2. Unfortunately the weather for at least the last nine holes was really dreadful so it was a wet and dismal day for the majority of us. However, we did manage two great results – that of Graham Crawford and Phil White who battled their way to impressive wins.
This was our last league match of the season so it will be interesting to see how Middlesex get on against Essex because if Middlesex  lose then we finish in fourth position.
I would like to take this opportunity of thanking everybody that has played for Bedfordshire Seniors this season and hope that next season we can be more successful. I understand there is some strong new blood coming through for next season and this will help to make us more competitive next year.
